Mission Statement/Vision

The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed and announce that the time has come when the lord will save his people. Luke 4:18-19

Objectives

To enable the community to discover their spiritual, social economic and environmental shortcomings and to alleviate the same, thus improving and sustaining their standards of living. This will be done through a holistic and integrated approach to development.

Approach, organisational programmes and activities:

  • Promotion and dissemination of renewable energy including improved stoves and biogas digesters.
  • Training households to construct safe fire places which minimise kitchen pollution and prevent fires in homes
  • Tree planting
  • Conducting training and disseminating renewable energy technologies through the Christian Intermediate Technology Centre
