Goals/aims Offers match funds ("Challenge Funds") to private sector-led project proposals that meet objectives of the DFID's strategy to reduce poverty in developing countries. These objectives include the provision of clean technologies to the poor in rural areas of the developing world. DFID's Business Partnerships Unit is developing a number of funding opportunities that companies can apply for.

General conditions In the first instance, proposals should include an outline of the objectives and key outputs of the project.
